Matallana de Torío is a municipality located in the province of León, Castile and León, Spain. According to the 2004 , the municipality had a population of 1,538 inhabitants.

Its main river is the Torío, a tributary of the Bernesga River on its left bank. It has two very interesting bridges crossing this river. The so-called San Félix Bridge, of medieval origin, has been largely abandoned and, due to its influence and merit, should be rehabilitated as a pedestrian crossing; and the Serrilla Bridge, a 19th-century structure built to serve the old road, which, after being replaced by a contemporary one, remains in use as a pedestrian crossing. Another interesting structure is the metal lattice bridge built for this railway line.
